Miguels Méxican Food at the Summit is a full-service Mexican restaurant tucked in a well-trafficked area of South Virginia Street in Reno. It stands out for offering a quieter, laid-back dining vibe compared to many lively Mexican spots, making it a solid pick for those who want authentic flavors without the boom of loud music. This atmosphere makes it a fitting choice not only for casual meals but also for more focused gatherings, like business meetings, where a calm environment is appreciated.

The menu here embraces traditional Mexican dishes with a few standout highlights—expect classics like enchiladas (in red, mole, or green sauces), chile relleno, and fajitas featuring grilled carne asada or chicken. Their appetizers, such as queso fundido, guacamole, and fresh ceviche, serve as both good starters and sharable options. The salsa really gets noticed among visitors, and the margaritas have a reputation for complementing the meal nicely. For anyone who enjoys a hearty, comforting Mexican meal, items like the wet burrito and shrimp enchiladas stand out as satisfying choices.

Service tends to be attentive and welcoming, with staff often mentioned for their warmth and care. The dining area is decorated with a comfortable, somewhat festive touch—especially during holiday seasons—and the restaurant takes pride in cleanliness, both in the dining room and restrooms. If you’re stopping by for a quick bite or a more leisurely meal, it feels more like somewhere locals come when they want to enjoy authentic tastes without hustle.

This place fits well for groups looking for a no-fuss meal with real Mexican flavors, couples seeking a relaxed dinner environment, or professionals in need of a calm space for informal business meetups. While the interior is not flashy, the genuine homestyle cooking and undistracted ambiance make each visit feel purposeful. Late afternoons or early evenings are likely the best time to experience the balance of quietness and freshest kitchen activity.

The food over all was delicious. We ordered for a pick up and it may have sat too long, so the meat was a little dry, and the cheese was over heated. I’d definitely recommend, and dine there again.

I liked my choice, which was Fajitas, but my husband didn't like his choice. I don't remember what is the name. We really like quiet atmosphere with no loud music and especially our water whose name was Markus

We needed to find a place for a business meeting with food. While there was a minimum required to use the private room it was very reasonable compared to other options. We had excellent service provided to us, a quiet area where we were able to take care of business in a relaxed atmosphere and delicious food!!! The salsa is banging and the margaritas are great too. Excellent authentic Mexican food made with quality ingredients. We will definitely be back!

Service top notch. Food is so good! Atmosphere amazing and decorated for the holidays. Music is uplifting. Kitchen clean and organized. The hostess, kind and welcoming, and the ladies bathroom, clean and stocked. I 100% recommend this restaurant if you are looking for an authentic Mexican food experience.

Our large party of ten proved to be no problem in seating or in serving. Waitress was efficient and attentive. We ordered a variety of entrees and everyone seemed satisfied with what they had ordered. Chips and salsa were complimentary. Nice restaurant and good food.

Came with a massive party of 21, the staff were great! Enjoyed my first ever margarita, on a hot day - it was exquisite and cooled me right down. Chimichanga was delicious. Everyone enjoyed their food.
